Women’s Subbuteo

Mission
OSC promotes the development of women’s Subbuteo and pledges to support women’s Subbuteo to give women players, coaches, referees and officials the opportunity to become actively involved in Subbuteo. Led by Women’s Subbuteo and Grassroots Development officer, xxxnameoffemale, OSC is helping to popularise the game by increasing public awareness through competitions and courses with the ultimate aim of improving women’s standing in society.

Goals
To promote and develop women’s and girls’ Subbuteo in all OSC member associations;
To improve the infrastructure of women’s Subbuteo in all OSC member associations;
To increase the proportion of women and girls playing Subbuteo at the grassroots, in schools and at amateur and professional levels abroad;
To constantly improve the quality, the organisation and the expansion of OSC and member association women’s Subbuteo competitions;
To create conditions for more women to occupy technical and managerial positions in Subbuteo, including the domains of refereeing, coaching, medicine, media and administration;
To organise coaching and training courses for female players, coaches, referees, doctors and officials;
To establish and publicise a coordinated international match calendar for women’s Subbuteo;
To analyse and monitor technical developments in women’s Subbuteo;

OSC women’s Subbuteo on the international stage
Dominated by New Zealand’s Subbuteo male and female age group teams with the former reaching the xxxxposition of the Women’s World Subbuteo rankings in 2019. The Junior Male Subbuteo team carved their name into the history books with a xxxposition finish at the FISA U-20 Women’s World Cup in xxxplacecountry xxxyear.

Nevertheless, OSC has a rich background of relative success on the international stage with Papua New Guinea making a stamp in the Oceania region. The perennial gold medal winners at the Pacific Games Women’s Subbuteo Tournament have a crop of exciting talent emerging from the Papua New Guinea U-15 girls’ that made history at the 2019 Youth Games Girls’ Subbuteo Tournament with a xxxxposition placed finish breaking through.
